I’m a Music Teacher offering personalized music lessons online and in-person, guiding students of any age group all around the globe. My specialization is Hindustani Classical and Semi-Classical Music. Additionally, I teach light music and folk songs. I’ve been teaching people of all ages and experience levels from Australia, Canada, India, Germany, Hongkong, Japan, Taiwan, UK, and USA, and love what I do. Not only do I teach my students how to sing, but also help them understand what they're singing. Along with teaching them notes, I give them a clear understanding of Taal and rhythm, as music is a combination of both 'Swar' and 'Taal'. My Story
I’ve been offering online music lessons since 2020, before which I had been teaching in-person, and can honestly say I can’t think of anything else that would bring me such joy every day. Teaching students of all age groups and all around the globe is itself very rewarding and interesting. In the process of teaching my students, I too get to learn many things from them.
Classical music is the backbone of every kind of music and one can think of it as the grammar of music. If one learns the grammar itself then he or she can sing any kind of song. So, having the knowledge of classical music is very essential for anyone wanting to learn music or sing. Though the word 'classical' itself is a bit intimidating and many people fear to learn it thinking that it is out of their understanding, I can assure them that learning or understanding classical music is not at all difficult as it sounds. There's a process of learning it and if taught in the correct manner then anybody of any age can learn it. I help my students to understand classical music and they all love it.
India has a rich musical heritage and is known for its diversity in music. Each state has its own musical identity and I feel a lifetime is not enough to learn them all. However, children born to ex-pats often fail to listen to the beautiful compositions of India and therefore do not get to learn or understand the richness of Indian music. My aim is to spread the knowledge of Indian music to these children and also preserve our culture. I love working with students of all ages and abilities and get so much satisfaction from seeing how they grow and develop in their skills and performance. With approaching summer, here is an excellent opportunity for your kids to learn Bengali songs for children of age group 4-12 years. Class duration of 1 hour, for 3 days a week, for 2 weeks. Dates to be decided (days can be adjusted on request). Limited Seats!!
