Learn music with ease
I offer a range of classes and courses for all levels and interests. My specialization is Hindustani Classical and Semi-Classical Music, but I also teach regional folk songs, Light Hindi and Bengali songs, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrulgeeti, and special songs for kids. Along with songs, I impart the knowledge of various Taals and their application. I teach my students the essential Riyaaz techniques and Voice Culture. I train my students to practice and sing with the help of Tanpura, which is a mandate for 'riyaaz' or practice. Singing with the help of tanpura is very important as it helps us to identify, learn and sing in tune.
I've designed a course structure (for students of age 8 and above and with no prior knowledge of music) with four Levels - Sthayee, Antara, Sanchari, and Aabhog. The duration of each level is approximately 6 months, depending on the progress of the student. Students will be evaluated from time to time and the completion of each level will lead to a certification. There is a monthly progress report for each student. After each lesson students are provided with audio/video of their lesson for future reference.
There will be online concerts on special occasions/events where each student will give a solo performance. This will help students build up confidence and also prepare them to perform on stage.

Course Levels
Beginner, Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced
The course structure of the Institution for students of age 8 and above has been divided/categorized into four levels - Sthayee, Antara, Sanchari, and Aabhog. The detailed syllabus of each group will be provided in class. There will be regular progress checks and an examination will be conducted at the end of each session. A student will be promoted to the next level only after acquiring the required qualifying grade. On completion of each level, students will be awarded a certificate of completion bearing the Institution's name and the level.
Sthayee
Beginner
This is the first level where students will get to learn the basics of classical music. The duration of this level is approximately 6 months, depending on the progress of the student.
Antara
Basic
This is the level following Sthayee. At this level, students will be having a clear understanding of Notes and Taal. Students will be trained to compose notations of the songs that they learn in class. The duration of this level is six months.
Sanchari
Intermediate
Students completing the Basic level will be promoted to Sanchari. Also, anyone with prior classical training may directly join this level after screening. At this level the training will be more customized according to the need of the student.
Aabhog
Advanced
This is the final level of training. There is no fixed duration of this level. This level is open to adults with prior knowledge of music. Details of this level to be decided after discussion with the candidate.
